A new Watchtower article has a picture of newly resurrected brothers who will need to enroll in an educational program in the Thousand Year Reign. The two females and male in this class must of survived Armageddon and entered with the same clothes.

How did the African brother get resurrected with clothes he wore while in his tomb? How did someone in Noah's day or even before come out of his tomb with pressed cloths that have no wrinkles or tears? Why are they even wearing old clothes? Won't there a clothing store in the New System to give these two resurrected brothers new slacks and shirts so they don't stand out?

I think we need to be more critical of these undercover exposes - they sound invented and I think believing and spreading them makes us easy targets for people who want to troll or build up a name for themselves as some leaker when they are anything but.

I agree with Simon. There are too many holes in this special message :

''God, Jesus and the holy spirit''...Why is he using the word ''God'' instead of ''Jehovah''?

''And to any Watchtower spies on this sub: You are trapped in a high control group and an abusive, captive organization, guilty of human rights violations on an unprecedented scale.'' Why isn't he using ''we'' instead of ''you''?

''This has led to all sorts of issues at Bethel such as drugs infiltrating the facilities, alcoholism, broken marital relationships and unfortunately even cases of domestic abuse between married couples, just to name a few.'' I have a hard believing the domestic abuse part. I know it happens in many Jehovah's Witnesses homes, but inside the Watchtower Headquarters? Domestic abuse ( where many members live inside a controlled setting ) is too difficult to hide!

Last nights Zoom meeting: Watching a nine year old on stage reading Bible passages

my nephew called me sunday night to tell me that his nine year old son was giving his first talk.

he gave me the zoom i.d.. and password for his congregations in-person tuesday night meeting.. i haven't been to any meetings in nine years.

My nephew called me Sunday night to tell me that his nine year old son was giving his first talk. He gave me the Zoom i.d.. and password for his Congregations in-person Tuesday night meeting.
I haven't been to any meetings in nine years. Many things have changed. The comments were typical Watchtower ''Parroted'' answers. The boredom almost killed me.
I get on Zoom five minutes before the meeting starts. There are 74 people on the Zoom meeting. Ten members are on a live screen, and the rest have their video turned off. A new song ( awful ) is sung, and the usual '' bless the Governing Body'' prayer is given.

An Elder gives a talk about King David and the book of Samuel. ( The Governing Body love King David with all his faults and imperfections, but have no problem throwing everyone else out of the Congregation for minor infractions)

Next, my nephew's nine year old son walks to the stage. ( WHY IS HE EVEN ON STAGE? Why did his dad and the Elders find it necessary for a nine year old to get up in front of an audience and read Bible passages? )

He reads from a tablet ( instead of a Bible ) and looses his place many times. He puts his finger on the tablet so he won't get lost. The Bible reading is over in less than 3 minutes. The Elder thanks him for his fine talk and looking forward for more fine talks to come.

The Elder critiqued his talk on how well he read. He did a great job on his Bible reading. A nine year old should of never been up on stage in the first place!

i found a company and employed an elder as an underwriter and two ms as sales and marketing.

anyway, this elder will delegate his work to the ms in sales and marketing, so he can go home early.

he knew when he got started that this would be a 10 hour a day job with some saturday.

Our congregation had a former Bethelite who worked at the New York headquarters as a heating and air-conditioning worker. He joined our congregation and quickly got married.

He opened up his own heating and air-conditioning company. Little by little, he had plenty of work from our congregation. He was caught many times using old parts and billed them as new parts. My father and uncle called him on the used parts. He denied that they were old, used parts. We called a friend of ours who also was in the trade. The parts he was installing were used parts from other jobs. No one trusted this ''former Bethelite'' any longer. The only thing that saved his ass was that his father-in-law was an Elder.

i want to create a new site to help people leaving the wts.. the idea is that it will be curated content of articles and videos on specific subjects such as how to fade, how to handle family, personal experiences of leaving, mistakes to avoid, plus practical life matters impacted by the wts such as how to create or rebuild a career, planning for retirement, getting counselling, making friends etc.... the idea is that it should be lots of voices to share the love and promote lots of people's channels so it becomes a more effective resource (hopefully there will always be something informative and appealing to the people visiting).. if you have a youtube channel that you would like featured, or maybe have some specific video or series that would suit, i'd be happy to include them.. likewise, if you have a subject you'd like to write about and can share some practical knowledge and guidance on, or have a life-story you'd like to share because your experience could benefit others, please let me know.. i bought a domain and setup some placeholder content:.

my brother worked at a grocery store at 16 years old.

he would miss tuesday's ministry school due to his work schedule.

I’m glad types like these hypocritical hounders never swayed me!

These Elders are still working in construction. They live on the North Shore of Illinois and purchase empty lots. They have subs who do most of their work. One Elder's son does all the electrical work and another Elder's son does all the landscaping work.

They leave early on meeting nights and never work on Sunday's. Neither of their wives work. They live in large homes, drive new cars, have custom suits and both have time shares for vacations.

They always hounded the congregation to pioneer at least once a year. I guess it was easy for them, since they had the time and money.

Who needs Hollywood scriptwriters when you already have a Bible story that has drama, suspense, and unbelievable twists and turns? Imagine the story of a man who visits prostitutes, kills a 1,000 man army with a skull bone, kills a lion with his bare hands, loses his strength by getting a haircut, gets his eyes gouged out, works at a grain mill and tears down columns with his bare hands, killing himself and the Philistines!

The biblical account states that Samson was a Nazirite and that he was given immense strength to aid him against his enemies and allow him to perform superhuman feats, including slaying a lion with his bare hands and massacring an entire army of Philistines (1,000 men ) using only the jawbone of a donkey. However, if Samson's long hair were cut, then his Nazirite vow would be violated and he would lose his strength.[
Samson was betrayed by his lover Delilah, who ordered a servant to cut his hair while he was sleeping and turned him over to his Philistine enemies, who gouged out his eyes and forced him to grind grain in a mill at Gaza. Whilst there his hair began to regrow. When the Philistines took Samson into their temple of Dagon, Samson asked to rest against one of the support pillars; after being granted permission, he prayed to God and miraculously recovered his strength, allowing him to grasp hold of the columns and tear them down, killing himself and all the Philistines with him.

pistolpete39 minutes agoI don't think very many JWs had GREAT JOBS to begin with that they had to give up. Because most JWs don't have great jobs.

When our congregation split in the late 1980's due to having close to 100 members, I remember what most of my congregation did for a living:

carpenters, electricians, welders, car mechanics, landscapers, factory workers, janitors, plumbers, grocery store workers and secretaries. I didn't see one doctor, lawyer, banker, professor, stock broker, Judge, nor Chief Executive Officers.

We did have Elders who were partners in a construction company who always had expensive houses, new cars, tailored suites and had enough time to pioneer. ( they always hounded everyone to pioneer at least once a year...easy for them since they didn't struggle like the rest of us)
